This is what Clamping is all about.  Pictured is Brother Tim "Chewy" Cucak from LSD Chapter 3 and Clamp Chef for James W. Marshall Outpost.  Tim told me his orphan (daughter) Kelley had a baby boy premature and weighed only 2 pounds at birth.  It meant the little guy was dangerously close to losing a battle for life.  His name is Jaydon and the family was told he had to stay in hospital for at least 6 weeks.  His Mom, Kelley, was advised to stay, but she would be charged daily to be with her new son.  Chewy has a burger joint with one of the best burgers I've ever had anywhere.  But his business just gets him and his family enough money to live on.  This added expense was going to put them in a real bind, since Kelley was out of work and relied on her parents, Chewy and his widder, Patti!  I put out emails to all I knew in clamperdom to try and help a Brother's orphan out.  The response was what makes me love this damned outfit!  I'm not sure how much dust was sent directly to him.  Nils Anderson came up with the idea of having donations sent to our GDR, Scooter.  This way it could be a tax deductable donation through our Lodge Charitable organization status.  Yesterday I received a check from Scooter for $1111.11 from donations sent to him.  Wonder who put in the $11.11?  This is on top of what ever other donations were sent to Tim. Today I went to his establishment, Mr. Beefy's, and presented the check to him and widder Patti, from ALL of the Brotherhood of ECV who donated to help a Clamper, his Widder and Orphan in time of financial stress.  Above photos was presenting the check to Tim and Patti!  (Note the ECV photos proudly displayed in background.)  Patti broke out in tears and immediately called her daughter with the news.  Kelly asked how she was going to thank all the clampers who helped them out.  I told her "they will know" and ended it there.  By the way, little Jaydon has gained 13oz in two weeks and though he must stay at least 4 more, he was taken off the incubator.  No wonder why myself and so many other brothers love ECV!

WHAT SAY THE BRETHEREN!
